The Person Next to You
The one who belongs listens and responds to Yehovah's words. If you don't listen and respond,
it is because you don't belong to Yehovah." John 8:47

Spirit and Truth
Spirit and Truth
Malachi turned the pages forward to the Gospel of John, tracing his finger over the words spoken by the Messiah to the woman at the well.
"Look at John 4:24:"
“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
"To worship in spirit means your heart is fully engaged—it’s alive, fervent, and driven by a deep, trembling love for the King. It isn't just a cold, mechanical performance," Malachi said. "But you cannot have spirit without truth. And what is truth? Psalm 119:142 tells us plainly: 'Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your Torah is truth.'"
The old man gestured to the oil lamp on the table. "If you try to have truth without the spirit, you are just a cold, rigid legalist—all brass and no fire. But if you try to have spirit without truth, you are just a wild, lawless fire with no oil, burning itself out in emotional deception. A true child of God matches both. They have the fiery devotion of the Spirit, and they walk firmly on the solid track of the Father’s instructions."
The Witness of the Work
The sun had finally dropped below the tree line, and the workshop began to fill with the cool purple shadows of evening. Caleb looked at the oil lamp, then at his own calloused hands.
The confusion that had weighed on his mind all afternoon dissolved into a deep, reverent clarity. He didn't need to be distracted by the loud, empty performances in the grand cathedrals or the compromised lifestyles of the religious elite. The true mark of the kingdom wasn't a show; it was a life of quiet, fiery obedience.
"Let's light the lamp, Grandfather," Caleb said, his voice steady and settled. "The Sabbath is coming, and I want to make sure we are walking in the light of His truth."
Malachi smiled, striking a match and bringing the flame to the wick. Instantly, a warm, golden glow filled the room, perfectly reflecting in the clean glass chimney. "That's it, son," Malachi whispered. "Keep the glass clean, stay close to the instructions, and let His Spirit do the shining."
